I moved into a house that has an above ground swimming pool that is about two years old. The previous owner left some boxes labeled pool chemicals, but I don't know what I'm supposed to do with them or if I just dump them in all at once. The pool is 27 feet in diameter and 52 inches deep and it came with some kind of floater device for the chemicals. Can anybody give me some help regarding the use of pool chemicals?

The floater devide is for the addition of the chlorine tablets that are used for the disinfection of the swimming pool water. You will need a test to check the levels of your water chemistry and adjust them with the chemicals on an as needed basis. You should check your water chemistry once a week and adjust them by adding the chemicals when the pump is running. The test kits, if you don’t have one, are available from any pool supplier.
