We use natural gas for our house and it is piped from the utility so it's readily available. It's my understanding that natural gas heaters are cheaper to buy than heat pumps, but they cost more to operate.
Which pool heater tyep would you recommend? Thanks!

I’d recommend a gas pool heater if you use your swimming pool one or two days a week since it will heat the water faster and an electric heat pump if you will use your pool every day. You pool supply dealer should be able to help you perform an economic analysis with your specific conditions and energy factors.
